Observing Sunspots

You should not look directly at the sun. Prolonged exposure could be blinding. Use a pinhole camera (Refer to Light & Optics for directions) to observe the position of sunspots over a period of several months.

Sunspots are the darker cooler areas of the sun which is a ball of gases. These sunspots have a rotation cycle of 11 years.
